Text for FLEX operates a text-first emergency workforce network in Columbus, Ohio. This policy explains what information Text for FLEX ("we," "us," "our") collects, how we use it, and your choices, with specific detail about our text (SMS) messaging.
Information we collect

- Restaurant and manager details: business name, contact name, email, mobile number, service style, and point-of-sale system.
- Bartender (FLEX Pro) details: name, email, mobile number, home ZIP code, travel range, years of experience, point-of-sale systems, service styles, desired pay, availability, and certifications.
- Messages and shift details you send to us, such as staffing requests, and records of shifts we help fill.
- Consent records: when and how you agreed to receive text messages from us.
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you use our website, such as device and browser type and general usage data, to keep the site working and secure.
How we use information
- Operate the Text for FLEX network and match bartenders to open shifts based on the details above.
- Contact you by text message and email about staffing requests, available shifts, confirmations, and account matters.
- Process founding membership and successful-fill fees through our payment processor.
- Verify, interview, and vet bartenders in our network.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve our service.
- Comply with legal obligations, including keeping records of consent and opt-out requests.
Text messaging (SMS)
Text messaging is central to our service. By providing your mobile number and agreeing to our consent language, you agree to receive text messages from Text for FLEX related to staffing requests, available shifts, confirmations, and account notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. Full terms are in our SMS Terms.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share mobile opt-in information or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties except as needed to deliver our own messages (for example, our SMS delivery provider).
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers that operate on our behalf, such as our SMS delivery provider, payment processor, email provider, and website host. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Matching: when we fill a shift, we share the necessary details between the requesting restaurant and the assigned bartender to complete the booking.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of people.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. We retain records of consent and opt-out requests for as long as required by applicable law.
Your choices and rights
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in marketing emails, or contact us.
- Access and deletion: contact us to request a copy of your information or to ask us to delete it, subject to legal limits.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Text for FLEX is intended for adults. Our service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
